Atlanta Human Services Nonprofits Merge After Years of Collaboration

The Center for Working Families, Inc. (TCWFI) and New Hope Enterprises (NHE) collaborated informally for several years to serve Atlanta’s most economically vulnerable population. TCFW promoted workforce development, economic supports, and asset building, while NHE offered educational and vocational programs, job-training programs, case-managed client services, and employment opportunities. The agencies agreed to merge in 2017 to expand their reach and deepen their impact on families and individuals. The SeaChange-Lodestar Fund for Nonprofit Collaboration provided a grant to fund transaction costs associate with the merger.
