College Possible and College Access Now are college access and persistence programs serving students from low-income backgrounds. Both utilize a common model of intensive coaching/mentorship throughout junior and senior years of high school to help low-income students gain admittance to college. In the spring of 2018, College Access Now undertook a strategic planning process that resulted in a merger exploration between the two entities. A single entity would afford geographic expansion and scale, complementarity of programs, as well as financial and administrative strength. A grant from SeaChange-Lodestar Fund for Nonprofit Collaboration supported a portion of the cost of a consultant to lead the exploration process.
