Merger of Nonprofit Technology Support Organizations

Tech Impact and 501cTECH were two members of the NPower Network created by Microsoft to deliver affordable and sustainable solutions to community-based nonprofits, and then continued to work together as partners with Tech Soup. The two organizations decided to merge in order to consolidate functions and expand their programs and services. The combined organization is the largest nonprofit managed services provider, providing technology support and services to thousands of nonprofits of varying sizes and missions across the country. Since merging, they have also expanded their programming to invest in workforce development by training people in urban areas to work in tech support. A grant from the Lodestar Foundation helped cover the one-time expenses of the merger.
