Prescott College, a private, nonprofit, four-year college in Prescott, Arizona, and Fielding Graduate University, a private, graduate-level university in Santa Barbara, California, explored a merger to combine their institutions, in some form, to create a new university system that supports liberal education in the pursuit of social justice and leadership. A merger would enable them to share support service functions with the possibility of launching new learning opportunities together. The Lodestar Foundation provided a grant to assist with the due diligence process.
