The History Co:Lab aims to replace one-size-fits-all approaches to education with a learner-centered model that helps young people to be emotionally resilient, informed, and engaged community members. Re-imagining Migration, Inc. (RIM) aims to enhance educational environments for first- and second-generation immigrant youth. The organizations have a long history of programmatic collaboration and were recently awarded three grants for joint programming. Building on the success of the joint programming fundraising efforts, exploring a merger made sense. The SeaChange-Lodestar Fund for Nonprofit Collaboration provided a grant to help cover the exploration costs of this merger.
