The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music (SPCM) provides high quality innovative music education and performance experiences to students of all ages, abilities, cultures, backgrounds, and income levels, for the enrichment of their entire community. Saint Joseph’s School of Music (SJSM) has been inspiring and creating opportunities for music students of all ages, abilities, and aspirations in the Twin Cities for 50 years. The organizations have similar missions, share faculty, and partner on several programs and events. As such, a merger will allow the organizations to capitalize on a number of synergies, organizational capacity, and ensure long-term sustainability. The Lodestar Foundation provided a grant to support implementation costs related to the merger.
