A Contemporary Theatre produces provocative contemporary theater that challenges audiences to reflect on the human condition and collective community spirit and serves students and youth through its educational programs. Seattle Shakespeare Company provides classical theater across Washington State and aims to challenge audiences to new perspectives while appreciating great stage works. Driven by the growing pressures faced by performing arts organizations post-pandemic, the two organizations decided to merge. The SeaChange-Lodestar Fund provided a grant to cover a portion of the implementation costs associated with the merger.
