Kadima and JVS Human Services (JVS) are both Jewish human service agencies in metropolitan Detroit. Kadima provides residential, therapeutic, and social services with mental health needs, and JVS provides counseling, training, and supportive services for people with a variety of needs, including seniors and people with disabilities. They decided to merge in order to provide a continuum of social services, including housing, employment, and care coordination, more efficiently and at a higher quality. The SeaChange-Lodestar Fund for Nonprofit Collaboration provided a grant to help cover the costs of merging.
