Hospice of the Valley provides end-of-life care in the Phoenix area, in addition to supportive care for those with serious illness, dementia care, caregiver support, and grief counseling. In the early 2000s, Hospice of the Valley sought to establish a facility on the grounds of Mayo Hospital in order to provide a continuum of care. The Lodestar Foundation provided grants to support the co-location project.
