Land Organizations in North Carolina Explore a Merger to Expand Conservation Efforts

Since 1983, Triangle Land Conservancy has protected over 18,000 acres across North Carolina by creating land preserves and a working farm used by more than 400 children and refugee farmers each year. Association for the Preservation of the Eno River Valley was founded in 1966 and has protected more than 7,000 acres, largely contained within five public parks. The two organizations have worked alongside each other for decades and decided to explore a merger in hopes of scaling their conservation work and reducing duplication of their efforts. The SeaChange-Lodestar Fund for Nonprofit Collaboration provided a grant to help cover the exploration process.
