Financial Beginnings USA, Financial Beginnings Oregon, and Financial Beginnings Washington each strive to empower individuals from kindergarten through adulthood to take control of their futures through financial literacy education and programming, with a focus on low-income and underserved communities. After splitting into separate 501(c)(3) nonprofits, believing that becoming affiliates would help to scale, expand, and respond to specific, local community needs, they are exploring reunifying into a single organization. The SeaChange-Lodestar Fund for Nonprofit Collaboration provided a grant to help cover the costs of exploring this merger.
