Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) is vertically integrated within companies delivering support that drives companies to action in the nature space. World Environment Center (WEC) has a broad reach across a wide area of corporate sustainability focused on thought leadership at the highest level and capacity building for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises. The conversation to combine WHC and WEC arose from an opportunity afforded by a leadership transition in WEC. A combination of the two organizations will create a stronger value proposition for the corporate sector, allow a re-brand and launch to better reflect the mission and vision of the combination and, leverage synergies for greater efficiencies and economies. The Lodestar Foundation provided a grant to help cover the exploration costs of this merger.
