Open Adoption & Family Services (OA&FS) and Boys & Girls Aid (BGA) are each licensed in Oregon and in Washington to provide all-options pregnancy counseling and domestic infant adoption services. Both organizations have long-term experience serving birth parents, children, and adoptive families in a child-focused and highly ethical manner. Given the steady decline in infant adoption placements locally and across the nation, OA&FS and BGA are experiencing increasing difficulty maintaining sufficient revenue to continue this programming that remains vital for those who need it. The Lodestar Foundation provided a grant to pay for a consultant to lead the due diligence and merger exploration process.
