In response to a continued rise in homelessness, Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) convened the New Solutions Task Force comprised of various stakeholders, including nonprofits, elected leaders, government staff, and community scholars. The Task Force’s goal is to build a stronger infrastructure to address the homeless crisis with options including new regional shelter models outside of downtown Phoenix and new models of housing. The Lodestar Foundation provided a grant to support the costs of facilitation and materials for the Task Force.
