In 2007, twelve Arizona organizations serving people with autism and their families formed the Arizona Autism Coalition, recognizing the need for better coordination to address challenges including a growing population, high treatment costs, and the maze of services that families had to navigate. Lodestar provided the initial funding to launch the coalition, which now operates through community funding. The Coalition now has more than 50 members and continues to provide resources, facilitate collaboration, and advocate for reform.
