Canary is an independent, nonprofit, digital media outlet covering the transition to clean energy and solutions to the climate crises. ENN is a news website dedicated to keeping decision-makers, policymakers, and citizens informed of changes taking place in the transition to clean energy in the Midwest, Southeast, and New England. It is a project of Fresh Energy, a nonprofit that advocates for clean energy policy in Minnesota and the Midwest. A primary funder of ENN was winding down its climate solutions strategy, so ENN’s Director approached Canary about a collaboration. The SeaChange-Lodestar Fund for Nonprofit Collaboration provided a grant to help cover the implementation support costs for the program transfer.
