Breaking Barriers helps refugees establish themselves in the UK. RefuAid supports refugees to build independent lives in the UK through loans, language classes, and short-term employment opportunities. The organizations have a history of referring clients to each other. RefuAid decided to refocus its activities on its loan program and approached Breaking Barriers to gauge interest in transferring its language and employment programs to them. The SeaChange-Lodestar Fund for Nonprofit Collaboration provided a grant to help cover the implementation support costs for the program transfer.
