Transfer of Loan Funds that Assist with Development and Disasters

Bend the Arc: Jewish Action (BTA) brings together Jews from across the country to advocate for a more just and equal society. As part of its mission, it operated three loan funds: the Isaiah Fund, focused on disaster recovery and prevention, and the Tzedec Economic Development Fund and Tzedec Community Ventures, which both manage funds in low-income development areas. In 2014, BTA transferred the three funds to the Disability Opportunity Fund (DOF), a CDFI focused on people with disabilities. Following the transaction, the three transferred funds operate as a separate entity that share back-office support with DOF. The SeaChange-Lodestar Fund for Nonprofit Collaboration provided a grant to cover partial costs of the transaction.
