Two New York Based Behavioral Health Organizations Explore Merging

The Coalition for Behavioral Health Agencies serves New York’s behavioral health community by providing policy, advocacy, training, and technical assistance to more than 100 community-based behavioral health providers. Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Providers of New York State’s (ASAP) supports organizations, groups, and individuals that prevent and alleviate the profound personal, social, and economic consequences of alcohol and substance use disorders in New York State. The organizations have overlapping members, two overlapping board members, and complement one another in geographic areas served. The SeaChange-Lodestar Fund for Nonprofit Collaboration provided a grant to help fund the cost of a facilitator to assist in the exploration.
