Crisis Action works with individuals and organizations to protect civilians from armed conflict by resolving crisis through collaboration. The organization acts as a catalyst and convener to bring together interested parties in response to crisis situations. It uses an innovative “opt-in” model of collaboration in which partners may choose to join the temporary alliance to respond to the crisis, allowing for prompt and effective action by eliminating the need to build consensus within the alliance. The Lodestar Foundation provided a grant to fund the creation of a video that explains Crisis Action’s approach to collaboration that the organization uses to explain its to funders and other stakeholders.
